At Samaritan Primary School;

TEACHING AND LEarning

Children are taught a rigorous, traditional curriculum in English with emphasis on science, social studies, reading and math.  The SPS education program encourages participation, debate, critical thinking and self-expression.

SPS provides students at its school with breakfast and lunch each day. All students receive a uniform and school supplies. Attendance at AJS is close to 100% each day, compared to 70% in public schools.

Many of SPA SPS are sponsored by CWM. In addition to critical financial support, sponsors provide personal attention and moral encouragement through the exchange of letters and photos.

Because of the high standards implemented at the primary level, for 19 consecutive years now, 100% of SPS students have passed the Primary Leaving Exam, the national exam taken by all students in Uganda at the end of primary school.  As a result, nearly every student has advanced to secondary school, a striking contrast to other schools in the region.

our pupils actively engage in activities like debating, drama, singing, and a variety od sports activities. We bring up an all round child in Academics, Behaviour and Charactor.

Arlington Junior School excelled in 2022 PLE exams with 90% pass in first grade and 10% in second grade

How do I join Arlington Junior School?

Arlington Junior School is a day school and enrols students at the end of the year into Grade One class. The students are automatically enrolled on the program.

How do I join the secondary sponsorship program?

Students who sit Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) at Arlington Junior School and pass, automatically cross over to secondary school. They join any of the partner secondary schools on our program across the country. The schools they join also base on their performance in PLE and ability to make a parental top up fees in those schools.

AAH also admits some good performing students from the outreach schools to join the secondary scholarship program. These are based on merit of performance and interest.

What curriculum do we follow at AJS?

The school runs the Uganda National Primary Curriculum developed by the national Curriculum development center. Our students sit Uganda National Examination Exams (PLE) both at Arlington Junior School and Matuwa Junior School.

What library services are offered?

AAH has a well stocked library with both curriculum books and other books to expand the reading skills and knowledge of our students and staff.

The books are all recorded and managed through library world by a full time librarian. The library is connected with full time internet connectivity through out the year to support research and collaboration.
